More then just a walk
As a child I was always pestering my parents for a dog. Being unsuccessful in persuading them, I turned my attention to our neighbour's dogs who were very happy to let me walk them after school. At the weekends I could be found loitering around the local RSPCA shelter and how I longed to take them all home with me but had to be content with just walking them. When I was twelve my parents finally succumbed and George the spaniel became my constant companion. Then much to the chagrin of my parents George soon had the company of a few more spaniels in our household. How I used to love playing with my spaniels in the local fields.
Alas, those halcyon days flew past and before I knew it I was working in an office and struggling to find somebody I could trust to look after my beloved Milly the beagle and missing her greatly during the day. It was during one such day when I had a light bulb moment with the realisation that with my love and experience of dogs, I could look after the dogs of other people in the same predicament as myself. Such was the nascent of Jolly Dogs Brighton and I have never looked back since! Milly now joins me and the gang on every walk and enjoys making new friends and doggie sleep overs. Milly is also a member of the Brighton Flyball group and hoping to make the team!
With our Brighton dog walking service you get a combination of experience, fun and care for your pet. Jolly Dogs puts your pet first focusing on ensuring your dog gets the exercise and attention they need whilst in our care. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and as such have become an approved supporter and member of Brighton & Hove City Councils Professional Dog Walkers Code of Conduct. Our service caters for individual walks for shy or timid dogs and group walks, which are great for ‘socialising’ your pooch.
Our dog walks are usually based on the South Downs, in places like Devils Dyke and Ditchling Beacon. Alternatively we do dog walks in Stanmer and Wild Parks or on the coast, especially in warmer conditions.
We insist on meeting all potential clients before we undertake any work. This initial consultation is FREE of charge and allows us to introduce ourselves to you and your pets. Here you will also obtain a copy of our public liability insurance and details of our police check.
We have a specially fitted out dog walking van which ensures your pet travels in safety and comfort. Our van allows us to crate dogs for their safety, with a soft blanket. The van is also kitted out with air conditioning to ensure all dogs are kept cool especially in the summer after a long run around with their friends.
